A step ahead toward women participation in decision making

Project goals and objectives 

The project aimed at promoting women's participation in the planning and decision-making process in Malesia e Madhe. At the same time, this project has served to create awareness and increase understanding of citizens on the right to be informed and to participate in decision making.

Main Goal

• Implementation of the law on public participation through monitoring and rural women outreach

Objectives

• To Increase public sensitivity over participation on decision making

• To improve rural women understanding on participation and women-oriented governance;

Deliverables

• Target groups have been informed and the interest of women's participation in planning and decision making has increased;

• Exchange experiences shared between women councilors of Pogradec and MM Municipalities;

• Assessment Report on rural women concerns has been provided and delivered at the councilors meeting in the Municipality of MM;

• Rural women network in MM has been established
